Special assistance

We're committed to providing a positive and seamless experience for everyone travelling through Winnipeg Richardson International Airport.

Getting to and from the gate

For assistance getting to and from the gate, or getting on and off an aircraft, contact your airline directly. It's best to provide at least 72 hours' notice so your airline can plan ahead and make arrangements.

Accompanying a traveller to their gate

If you're not travelling, but a passenger requires your assistance to the gate, you may be eligible for a gate pass. A gate pass allows you to accompany a passenger through security to their gate. Only specific domestic airlines offer this service, so check with your airline in advance. You will need to provide government-issued identification in advance of pre-board screening in order to use a gate pass.

Help at the airport

Our Goldwing Ambassadors are on-site each day to provide an added layer of customer support and guidance at the airport. Don't hesitate to approach any team member wearing a gold blazer and they'll help point you in the right direction.

You can also visit the Information Booth, located on Arrivals Level 1 near Door 3, for assistance.

Accessibility support

For information about accessibility at the airport, including our Passenger Rehearsal Program, Travellers' Aid Kiosk and other available services, visit the Accessibility section of our website.

Travelling with kids

Families travelling with children can find tips for packing and information about security screening on the Canadian Air Transport Security Authority (CATSA) website.

Play area

There is currently one play area in the terminal. It is located on Level 1 (Arrivals) next to Door 3.
